Hair: Joshua has messy, slightly-long brown hair in which the front bangs hang a little in front of his eyes.

Eyes:  Joshua has black eyes that show years of combat experience/  Often his gaze is fierce, showing he is ready to fight, but on rare occasions his eyes are soft and comforting.       Physique: Joshua is incredibly fit, being muscular and in great shape.  He is about 6'.
Traits: Joshua has two scars:  One is diagonally across his right eye, suggesting he had had been slashed.  He can still seen fine out of the eye.  The second is what would appear to be a healed stab wound through his right shoulder.
Clothing: Joshua usually wears a typical Gi with a white undershirt, wristbands, and belt.  His tangtop and black pants are black.  His Nike shoes are black with white laces.  In memory of a friend, Joshua will sometimes wear during a battle a simple black shirt that has the word 'FIGHT' printed across it in green and white jeans.  Joshua usually wears the traditional Ryu hat, mainly to hide the scar across his eye.
Accessories: Joshua often carries around a stuffed toy dragon in his pocket.

Personality: Joshua is intelligent, but lacks commen sense, usually not understanding something that is painfully obvious t others and not getting the inner meaning of something, quiet and friendly usually, but with a nasty temper. Hates to be insulted.  Joshua loves the thrill of battle, and will take on anyone who challenges him or any threat.  Joshua use to be riddled with thoughts of what path in life he was to take, falling deeply into the dark depths of evil at one pint, but was saved by his best friend.  He does not fight to kill, only when absolutely required.  Joshua swears often, but not out of anger.

Weakness: Joshua is tormented by his murdeous past, in which he killed many, even his sister.  He is afraid of facing an opponent he cannot defeat because he despises the thought of being weak. Joshua often acts unrationally, thinking mostly with his fists, which usually gets him into a bad spot.  Joshua is a little lacking when it comes to hand to hand combat, since he prefers long range combat.
Strengths: Joshua is a veteran fighter, and has a lot of combat experience.  He will fight a battle until he dies, because he thinks that only then will he save some honor from losing. Joshua is an expert in long range attacks, and has incredible accuracy.  Like all Ryus, Joshua's endurance is incredible, and he keeps going and going.

Motivation: Joshua fights for the final wish of his now dead wife, Jessica Ryu, who wanted him to fight for justice and bring up a good world for their child who was not born at the time.  She wanted him to protect that which he loved.  Jsohau once doubted this wish, for it was the overwhelming evil of the world that killed Jessica, so he thought fighting was an pointless task that would get nowhere, and in the end, evil would triamph.  He learned that if he did not fight to save others from going through the same lost he has, who would?  So the Ryu now fights with his heart and soul.  He also hopes to one day find his lost son, James Ryu, who mysteriously vansihed.
