Joshua Ryu walked out on to a battle arena that was completely tiled: the floor, the walls, the ceiling, everything.  It was just a large, square room with wide pillars protruding from the ground everywhere.  Joshua did some stretches, hoping to get in a warm up match before any real matches.

"You looking for a fight?" Malcolm said removing his hood as he enttered the room.

"What?  No, I just like te veiw." Joshua said sarcastically as he continued some stretches.  "Of course I would.  Classic ten point match good for ya?"

Malcolm cracked his neck, then jumped back, throwing his cloak to the floor, revealing his brestplate, and pants. he landed on the ground, already in a fighting position. "First one to ten is declared the winner."

Joshua lifted his hand towards Malcom, his palm open.  He ddn't btoher removing his hat or other things that might get in the way like his foe did.

"Ready, set go."  Joshua whispered as he fired a basic ball of energy that soared at Malcom, thus kicking off the battle...!

Malcolm evaded the ball of energy, "hmm." He dashed towards Joshua, throwing a punch towards him.

Joshua was quick to use his feet to do a leap that was just enough Malcom.  He put his hand inches from the back of his head and let loose another ball of energy...!

Malcolm guided his body carefully, dive rolling out of the way. He noticed his hair was falling slowly down. "close" He reached into his pocket, grabbing a lighter "Lets Heat things up. " He said lighting the flame. "Now lets fight!" He createda ball of tightly compacted 4311. Then dtrted towards Joshua, jumping in the air, throwing the ball towards Joshua.

Joshua leaped backwards, but a flame caught one of his legs.  Joshua managed to stay on his feet but cringed in slight pain.  "Ow, that burns..." Joshua mumbled to himself.  The Ryu raised both of his hands, firing one Ki blast at the man's lighter and then another at his chest...!

Malcolm had to decide qickly. He moved his lighter to his other hand, dodging the ball of Ki, But as for the one aimed for his chest, it hit his Brestplate dead on, Capturing most the impact but, blasting him back, sliding to the ground. "Damn, he's strong in Ki" He said hitting the ground wit his fist. "No worries." He got up and opened his lighter. "Try this!" He said as he manipulated the flame at him in the shape of a Wolf's mouth.

Joshua apologized OOCly for the delay, but was back to finish this.  Joshua fired a Ki blast as large as the wolf's head composed of flames.  The attacks collided, creating an explosion that blew tiles and pieces in every direction.  Through the smokescreen that was also produced, Joshua fired a barrage of Ki blasts blindly, hoping that at least one might hit...!

Malcolm jumped in every direction, but wasnt enough. He was hit in the shoulder by one, but caught himself before he fell. "Damn!" He lit hislighter, producing another fireball And thrw multiple fireballs his way.

The smokescreen was clearing away, but not fast enough for Joshua to not seethe oncoming balls of fire.  Joshua evaded, but one caught his left shoulder, burning away at the clothes at searing at the skin.

"Aw, dammit, that's smarts!" Joshua yelled.

Joshua rushed at Malcolm, charing Ki into his hands, and then threw a barrage of punches, but the fists from his left hand were a little restricted...

Malcolm tried to counter with regular punches, but they wernt enough, oneof the punches caught him in the jaw. He stumbled a little, came to his sences and quickly caught his hand on fire, and threw a fast punch at Joshua's Face.

Joshua figured quickly he should not take a flaming fist right across the face, so he reached up and caught it with his left hand.

WORST.  IDEA.  EVER.

There was an awkward pause as Joshua looked back and forth between his left hand and Malcolm's eyes.  Joshua then let go slowly, and muttered, "Ow..." which was a really underestimate for how much it burned his hand.  Joshua then raised his right, and fired a basic ball of energy at the close distance...

Malcolm had to counter with a kick towards the side, as the ball was coming to him.

Joshua didn't quite understand hat Malcolm did, put assumed this:  The Ki blast was still heading for him, but Malcolm was sending a kick towards Joshua.  If this was the case, the Ryu caught the leg as his blast still headed towards his foe...!
