Li had entered an arena which was, interestingly enough, a bamboo forest. He was stood on a small outlying leaf which technically should have been able to support his weight like the surface of a lake can support a cannonball but in the past few years common sense and physics have gone out the window.

He watched a couple of men fighting in small clearing which they had created during their battle.

Rin, who had left the Restaurant, noticed Li, who wasn't fighting anyone.

"Hey there, dude! Ya wanna fight? Just don't go too hard on me, please?" He yelled up to the warrior on the leaf.

"Hm? What?" He looked down at Rin who was the most interestingly dressed person he had ever seen in his life, "Sure, what kind of fight are you up for?"

Rin smiled, thinking for a moment. "Well, I guess bladed battle...just hold on one minute."

He looked over to his side, and saw a medium sized sword laying on the ground. "Guy musta dropped it here. Alright! Two matches! If you win one, and I win one, then we do a Sudden Death fist fight! First one to get a point in Sudden Death wins!"

Rin smiled, getting into a ready stance. "Come on."

"Hang on, no, we can't change the rules for fights. It's first to 5 points,"

"If we're gonna 'not change the rules' then we have to go to ten. I don't really see what the problem, is though..."

"A sudden death match is 5 points," Li sight and pressed his palm against the forehead of his mask.

"Oh...I just assumed that it was first hit. Whoopsies."

Rin had an anime sweatdrop as he looked to the sky. "Anyway, let's go!"

"As you..." Li bent his legs slightly, ".. wish" he jumped forwards, placed his legs on the neast bamboo tree and then kicked off of it. He repeated this several times as he got closer to Rin before launching himself straight at his freakishly dressed adversary.

When he got within striking distance he would bring his sword from the right towards Rin's left arm.

"Holy cru-!" Rin managed to duck down, moments before the blade would piece skin.

"I thought I was quick, but you're...you're something else!" Okamoto said before doing an uppercut (Gomumi style) with the sword in his hand, hoping to get a cheap cut.

Li leaned backwards, flipped the blade around and brought his right arm back to the right side of his body to slash Rin's outstretched arm.

Rin wasn't able to follow Li's movements, and quickly felt a cut of blood appear on his arm, meaning that Li was the winner of the first match.

"So, I guess that means that you get Ranking stuff? Since these are separate battles..." Rin cupped his hand around the wound, blowing on it gently to avoid as much pain as possible.

"I said go easy on me, in case you didn't  notice."

"I did, I could have gone for your torso instead," Li smirked... the mask ruined the effect, "Time for round two!" He jumped back about 10 feet and then waited for Rin.

"Right, round two!" Rin yelled, making a fierce face, gripping his sheath. If someone blinked they might have some trouble spotting Rin, but then again, blind people have trouble spotting anything, as Rin was very conspicuously jumping through the bamboo, running away from his enemy.

"Feet don't fail me now!" He yelled to himself, er...his feet. At this point, he wished that he was faster than Li.

Li laughed and then broke into a full on sprint, taking seconds to catch up, "Boo," Li lashed outwards with his blade like a snake strike at Rin's back.

Rin heard some noises from behind, and figured that Li was behind him. That, and he heard "Boo."

He sprinted as fast as possible, barely dodging the attack. Okamoto pivoted on his right leg, spinning around, before throwing his blade in a swift blur.

Li who was expecting an attack with much less range was stabbed right through the gut, the force of the throw also launching him backwards some distance. Li proceeded to swear loudly for a few moments before pulling the sword out of his abdomen and swearing even louder.

"I am awesome guess man." Rin said, referring to the fact that he set up the idea of Sudden Death.

He got into a fighting stance, this time not trying to fake his enemy out.

Li was busy bleeding profusely, "Hang on, this hurts like a bitch." The exoskeleton began to repair iself over the wound, releasing a spray of synthetic flesh onto the hole dealing with the skin damage. The rest would heal itself easily enough, "Seriously guy, you fucking stabbed me,"

"Well, I was kinda trying to make you bleed, since that's the point of a blade battle..." Rin then looked at an imaginary watch, humming the Jeopardy theme. "So, ready for Sudden Death, or do you want to bleed some more?"
