Kayro was standing in the standard arena, which had wooden floors, a two sets of bleachers on each side. He was feeling great, so he wanted to fight an opponent, an open challenge for any opponent.

Joshua entered the plain arena, but it was no "Oh, I was wandering around, and here you are, ready to fight.  How lucky." Joshua meant to find this person.

He walked up to fighter, eying him.  Joshua cleared his throat and said, "Hey,  You said before you knew Lorenzo.  How?"  

"He's my dad. I knew him all my life. That's how I know you," answered Kayro emotionlessly.

Joshua stuck his hands in his pockets.  They would battle soon enough.  "Did he ever mention a man named Kale?  Antonius?"

"A little bit, yeah. But like most of the others, Rez lost contact with them years ago." Kayro looked at Joshua, "So...are we gonna stand here with our twiddlin' our thumbs, or are we going to battle?"

"I guess it's nice to see your dad's will of fighting has rubbed off on you." Joshua shifted his hat.  "Sure, whatever style you want." He paused. "Except blades."

"I perfer the basic fight," said Kayro.

He got into a combative position.

"Very well."  Joshua suddenly leaped into the air, aiming a kick towards Kayro's head...!

Kayro rolled to the side, narrowly evading the kick. He flipped to his feet adn aimed a sweep kick towards Joshua's legs

Joshua landed on the ground after his own attack only to be tripped up by Kayro's leg sweep.  Joshua feel back, but caught himself with one arm.  He pushed himself up, and then fired an energy blast at Kayro...!

Joshua: 0
Kayro: 1

Kayro was hit by the energy blast adn was sent flyign backwards a few feet, only to flip around in midair and land on his feet.

"Nice trick," said Kayro, "but I know a few, myself....hehehehe..."

Kayro made an illusion of himself morphing into another being. His body was changing shape in to the being of choice. When he was done, he was the form of Rez himself!

"Surprise!"

The disguised Kayro charged at Joshua and aimed a spear kick for Joshua's torso.

Joshua leaped to the side, skidding across the ground.

"Turing into your father won't help you!" Joshua commented.

Joshua cranked his arm back, then let it fling forward in a scatter fire of energy blasts...!

The disguised Kayro saw this. He began to dodge and evade the incoming energy blasts. One clipped him in the shoulder and sent him staggering backwards. This forced the illusion to end as quickly as it came.

"hmm...impressive," said Kayro, "maybe you are as good as I heard."

Kayro aimed a left hook for Joshua's face.

Joshua did a quick duck, the hook going over his head, and then did an uppercut towards Kayro's chin...!

Kayro bent his head back, dodging the uppercut. He aimed a punt for Joshua's torso.

Joshua was hit in the targeted area, skidding back.  He placed his hand on the ground to put him to a stop.  He then raised the hand so that it was facing the floor beneath Kayro's feet, and the Ryu released a powerful burst of energy...!

Kayro leapt into the air, but wasn't fats enough to evading it. It struck his feet, making him flip in the air. He landed on his hand and flipped himself back to his feet. He charged towards Joshua. When he got close enough, he aimed a punch for Joshua backed up with an electric charge...!

Joshua did a spin move that not only looked completely awesome, but got him behind Kayro, their backs facing each other.  Joshua put his hand backwards and released another burst of green energy...!

Kayro was hit by the green energy blast, creating an explosion and kicking up dust and smoke. When the smoke dissipated, He was still standing there. Half of his t-shirt was blown to shreds, and there was a few burns on his back. He turned around to reveal Kayro with a angered look on his face. He aimed a side kick towards Joshua's side...!

Joshua was hit by Kayro's side side kick (a side kick going for the side) and was sent tumbling across the floor.  He managed to kick himself off the ground and land on his feet after enough rolling.  The Ryu wasn't quick to get back on the offense, firing another blast at his injured foe...!
