Ok, lately spam has been getting way out of hand.

Any good threads, that have even the slightest bit of seriousness, get spammed into the ground, And it's really startting to get on my nerves.

I dont mean the posts, that have like, a serious response, and then a little spam, thats not that bad.

It's the constant spamming, and only spamming, thats getting on my nerves.


It makes the forums look very bad, when the Genereal Chat area (prolyl the most posted in section.) is chock-full of spam., And some would-be members would be turned away by it. There is a place for spam, General Chat isn't it.


I'm sure I'm not the only one who'se noticed this..

To me thats what people do in the General chat section talk and be random.
But yeah I guess it can get out of hand sometimes.

Well, the obvious spam topics, arent a big deal, as they were meant for spam.

But the topics with an actual purpose get keeled rather fast.

I Should have put stop. but, it definatly needs to be under control.

(and I thought the fun and games forum was for spam, if there's a place for spam, it shouldnt be here >.<)

Ithink that if a user has a topic with spam in it,they should delete it them selfs,and not wait for a mod to lock it.Or if the topic is a question,once it gets answered they could delete it.

In my opinion, this topic shouldn't have even been created. There was no point in preaching to the forum about how it has to stop, it's more about actually taking action.

Would you rather have a bit of a warning, where you can put your thoughts out there, or just have me ban everyone for a little bit of spam?

That's what rules are for. Apparently a lot of people aren't following them. Thus, taking action agaisnt these people would be a lot better then reminding the forum of an existing rule.

Oh, and Maverick, why would you have to ban them? Remove there posts, warn them, that's that. They persist, you ban them.

You don't have to jump to directly banning them.

That was more of, idk, example, w/e.

I wouldnt just ban people =/.

And this WAS a warning.

They will read it, and know, and more excessive spam will be dealt with. (ala, deleting posts)
