After walking around on Namek, Syren noticed a couple of namekians sparing near a cliff. He sat on a nearby rock and watched as the stronger looking namekian helped the weaker one practice, and learn new techniques. As Syren watched the two of participants went on without even glancing to him. So drawn in by the spar Syren didn’t even notice the time passing, after awhile the student left and the teacher walked over to Syren.

Namekian: Usually I wouldn’t even thing about talking to you….
Syren: So why are you?
Namekian: I saw you spar earlier, you game mercy to that creature, a trait not commonly associated with your kind.
Syren: Because all you know of us is from when we were under the control of the fouls beasts.
Namekian: you mean the demons?
Syren: yes…

After an awkward silence

Namekian: Would you like to spar?
Syren: ummm….sure, what are the rules?
Namekian: Fists and feet only.
Syren: ok... By the way I’m Syren.
Namekian: Hello Syren, I’m Namu.

The two of them walked over the where the others were sparing before

They looked at each other; Namu with almost no warning launched a punch right at Syren’s chest, Syren tried to dodge but was not fast enough the punch hit him in the ribs, a sharp pain cane from where he had been hit , He shook it off, he noticed Namu had backed off and was now in an odd stance. Syren went at Namu with a roundhouse kick, but Namu easily deflected it and kicked Syren in the hip causing him collapse to the ground. Syren got back up and back off, Namu had reset into the stance. Syren tried to hit him with a punch to the guy, but Namu again easily deflected it and punched Syren in the chest, recovering and backing up, Syren started to examine Namu’s stance for weak spots, every time he thought he found one Namu would block and retaliate, after awhile Syren stopped his attacks.

Syren: How do you block my attacks like that?
Namu: it’s a stance I learned from a teacher I once had.
Syren: it really works, I can’t even touch you.
Namu: I know. Come here….

After a few hours of learning the stance, Syren was ready to put it to the test

Namu: Ok Are you ready?
Syren: Yes.

Namu came at Syren with a punch to the chest , which with a little difficulty Syren blocked. Namu then came at him with a round house , Syren blocked it , but was knocked out of stance. After a few more hours of practice Syren was easily blocking Namu’s attacks.

Namu: You learn quickly.
Syren: I had a good teacher.
Namu: well for now I cannot teach you anymore. I must retire to my home.
Syren: goodbye, and thank you

Namu walked away then Syren continued his venture on Namek
