Joshua overlooked Shin's body, lying peacefully in an open coffin.  Joshua sadly gazed at the one he had killed =, not on purpose, while firing a Ki blast.  He shook his head, as if he trying to shake off his guilt.  He also tried to shove Unagi from his mind, but he couldn't help to wonder what he was doing now.

Joshua returned to the matter at hand, and said: "Goodbye, Shin.  You were... a good Saiyan."

Rick appeared from the sky. He slowly descended, landing about 5 feet away from the coffin. He wasn't able to bring a suit, simply because his parents would have had suspisions. But he came in his fight attire, to show his respect for Shin as a fellow fighter. Rick had only known Shin for a couple of hours, and that is perhaps what made it so bitter.









After the silence, Rick turned to see Joshua, who looked about as distressed as Rick. He put his hand on his shoulder. He didn't say anything, just stood there, hoping he might lift Joshua's spirits.

Ritsuke had showed up, for the first time in a long while he was wearing an entirely different outfit. It was a traditional black suit with a white shirt underneath, he had brushed his hair which hung down past his shoulders (think Trunks when he left the timechamber). He walked up to Shin's coffin since nobody else was, "Good luck in the afterlife Shin..." he lowered his voice, "I shall be joining you soon enough..."

Ritsuke turned on his heel and headed towards Joshua, "Don't worry yourself over it too much Josh, you know as well as I do what happens in Otherworld so its not so bad."

Joshua shrugged off Rick's hand.  he faced Ritsuke, nothing but seriousness reflected in his face.

"It's much worse than that." Joshua said, he voice trembling a little. "I... take it you know what else?"

"Yes, yes I did," he looked up at the sky, "We are royally screwed."

Joshua's head looked down.  He didn't want to admit, but yeah.  They probably where...  Alter Ego inside Unagi, who was stronger than ever, spelled nothing but trouble, let alone possible destruction of the planet.

"You know your the only one who can save him right?" Ritsuke continued to look up at the sky, he had recently started appreciating those sort of things more, "Killing him would be doable with all of us but when it comes to the end you will be the only one that can save him from Alter Ego."

He looked down and into Joshua's eyes, "I can do what I can to make it easier for you."

Rick stood there, arms together, thinking to himself. "These guys, I can help them. But I'm not nearly the strength they'll need. I'll be a hinderance at best. I need to train, to become stronger."

OOC: I thought Josh was nicer now that Alter was out of him? I mean, I didn't think Rick would help, but couldn't he at least stomach it?

OOC: His reaction to Rick's support.

OOC: Alter Ego fueled Joshua's rage and such.  It was a darkness that seeped out into that slightly influenced his behavior for the worse.  Without AE, that darkness is gone, and Joshua returns to his normal self(see Character Creation Thread for old elf), but he isn't exactly in the mood for support.

Alter Ego.  How Joshua loathed those tow words more than ever.  They made him cringe with anger and disgust.  Once again, Alter Ego has casted his shadows to turn the world Joshua lived in upside-down.  Once again, the demon had managed to  to make leave his evil mark.

"Alter Ego is stronger than me...  For all I know, he's stronger than Unagi too, he just needs a body to live in.... The Triple Team would have worn off, and he would return to me, so instead he took Unagi....  Unless we can force Unagi to learn Triple Team and expel Alter Ego..." He looked down. "There's no hope."

"With beings like Alter Ego, actual power has little meaning. To be realistic, Lyra would do better against him than you but the problem is that Alter Ego now has Unagi. He would probably kill her before she could do anything. You on the other hand are the second strongest fighter on the planet and you have a very deep spiritual connection to Alter Ego. Oguri is also on your side so using his power there is a chance you could draw Alter Ego back into yourself to restore balance. Unfortunately that involves weakening him enough so that he can't fight back."

Unagi rested gently, high above the clouds, sensing the gathering of three warriors. Two of them were fairly powerful, and would provide quite a challenge. Those two were Joshua and Ritsuke. However, Unagi did not plan on facing Joshua.

"I think it's time..." Unagi announced to himself, rushing through the clouds, his mouth open, releasing a devilish yell.

"Did you guys here something?"

Ritsuke stood perfectly still for a moment, then in one lightning fast movement spun round, activated his soulstone and then released a massive wave of energy at Unagi.

Joshua was startled, jumping back.  He had not realized what Ritsuke was doing, until he sensed... him.  Joshua looked up, and saw Unagi charging at them in the distance.  Joshua instantly did the same as Ritsuke, pulling out his silver Soulstone.

"Spirit Fusion!" Joshua yelled.

But nothing happened...

Unagi was caught by sudden surprise, not expecting them to fire at him so quickly.

He quickly held his arms in front of him in an X, his forearms facing the warriors. He transformed into a Super Saiyan, and did a quick barrel roll to the right, narrowly dodging the attack.

"So quick to transform, eh?"

"Come on!  Come on!" Joshua cried desperately, continuing to squeeze his Soulsone, but to no avail.  He would not transform.

Ritsuke swore as he saw Joshua's soulstone problems. He expected this but was hoping desperately that he was wrong. He was alone for this one. He flew up to Unagi, "Unagi, relinquish Alter Ego while you still have control."
