I instantly felt pity (a feeling that mixed well with my ever growing fear and dismay) for those who had been so unfortunate to have confronted him and die before me. I was right when I guessed I would soon know exactly what this man had put them all through. I'm wasn't even sure if he was a man. He was more like a monster. No, it was far worse than that.

A devil. A demon who seemed determined to spill the blood of everyone who came in his path, and leave a trail of destruction in his evil wake. He wanted to paint the world he thought he controlled in his own bloody image. Well, he certainly succeeded in doing that to my once peaceful and prosperous village, which laid in ruins before my watering eyes.

At the time, I thought the worst part was when he walked toward you at his own slow pace, as if he knew perfectly well you were too petrified with fear to move an inch. Every step he took was like a swing of a pendulum, counting off the moments until you would leave this world and meet your maker. As he continued to stroll toward me, as if this was just a walk through a blood stained park, he laughed menacingly. Hysterically. Manically. Evilly. It was a laugh that crept into your brain and planted itself like a bomb. At first, it gives you nothing but goosebumps, but at any moment, that bomb would trigger and explode, and it would haunt you for the rest of your natural life. Everywhere you went, no matter what you did, that laugh would follow you to the point of insanity. Luckily for me, I guess, I didn't have long to live anyway.

It was when he came inches in front of my face that I realized what the wost part truly was. It was when he gazed at you with his piercing black eyes that seemed to go on forever, like his blood ****. After drinking in the hopeless fear on your face, he looked past you and into your very soul. I could take a could guess at what he was doing: He was thinking of the best possible way to grind your existence into nothing.

He said nothing, and drew his shiny silver blade, which I swore I could see was already covered in blood. My blood. He slid it playfully across my neck, like a cat toying with an injured mouse, and chuckled slightly. He then raised the sword high and placed the razor sharp tip of it right on top of my spiky brown hair, and n a swift motion, thrust down...!

Then again, being dead isn't all that bad.
