I felt my shoulder shake slightly from the slice Ritsuke made. I wasn’t the kind of person to whine and moan over pain, but he actually hurt me worse than I let on. I decided to land on a plane, the short grass brushing against the ankles. I smiled lightly to myself, noting how well I did against three people at once.

“There’s a move Joshua knows…and I know how to counter it.” Alter Ego assured me, trying to make me more powerful for his own personal gain. I decided to accept his training, to make myself more powerful for his own defeat. “The move he knows is called Rasengan, and it’s a fairly powerful technique. It’s a ball of spinning ki within his hand, and it could split your chest open if he tried hard enough.”

I smiled gently to myself, wondering if Alter Ego’s words were actually true or not. I decided that they weren’t, but I acted as if I thought they were. “So, you’re going to learn the technique, Chidori. It’s one of the only moves that can stop the Rasengan. Focus your ki into your hand, as if you were going to do a one handed Kamehameha.”

I felt the purple ki radiate through my arm into my right hand, as I was following his command. “Now hold your arm towards the ground, like you did back at that battle against Hikaro and Joshua. I was there.”

I remember when I did that move, to get rid of the arena and to stun my enemies. That was almost a Chidori back then, or a step in the Chidori. I faced my palm towards the ground, holding my elbow with my left arm. Lightning began forming around the ball of energy, a mix of white and blue flying array.

I turned to my right, staring at the mountain in front of me. I quickly dashed across the plain, tearing the ground into a dirt mound, the Chidori making the sound of a thousand birds, flapping their wings. I threw my arm in front of me, tearing into the bulk of the mountain.

I stood there for a moment, panting heavily to myself, nothing seeming to happen. A moment later, the mountain split in two, defeated by the crushing force of the Chidori. The thousand birds in the area quickly scattered, leaving me with the sound of them flapping their wings. It sounded just like the Chidori.
