It was a day before Syren recovered from his last spar.

** Such power, that’s unknown to me, he is a worthy opponent. Next time we fight  I will be ready for it , I till stop it , he will NOT defeat me again. What I need is a trainer , a mentor someone to guide me as I become more powerful. The stronger I get the more I feel my demon side trying to break free, but if I don’t get stronger I will never survive, it is a problem that only I can solve. The help of a trainer would be endless , but here , here in otherworld there is hardly anyone whom I would trust, demons tore me of my humanity , tore me of my life, from years of servitude my morals are confused , twisted and bent into whatever they wanted. If I got elsewhere for training people would look upon me as if I am a monster, as if I were something there to slaughter them. There’s Namu but his training will only take me so far. This is a subject of much debate , to I stay here and train with demons whom id rather kill than listen to, or go elsewhere and get training by people who fear me, or what to kill me. I don’t know what to do, my life , my existence is a mess , is not supposed to be this way , it should be different , I should have never been changed by those demons. I vowed never to come back here but here I am, I vowed never to be trained by a demon but it seems that the best choice I have now. My decisions in life are bringing me back to a place I don’t want to be, but the only place  I have left to go. My Life is meaningless if I go against everything I believe in but if I don’t  I wont survive long enough to believe in them.”

Syren- Who are you, where are you?

Syren- What do you mean by that!
 ???- I have been watching you.
Syren- How?
 ???- I have my ways.
Syren- You’re starting to piss me off.
 ???- Ah, You are a short tempered Half breed.
Syren- Who are you!?
  ???- That’s not important now.
 Syren- What do you want from me.
  ???- Nothing, I watched you fight the reptile in that cavern, smart fighting, yet you showed you demon side, instead of attempting the jump leaving the beast alive, you decided to kill it.
 Syren- I had no choice, I couldn’t get past it.
  ???- Ah buts that’s where you’re wrong, you demon side took over and hid the exit that was over top the creature.
  Syren- No that not true!
   ???- But it is, Think back to that day.
 
  Syrens mind flashed back to that day, then he notices there Is an exit above the beast.

  Syren- It’s true… I could have resolved it without battle, what am I becoming.
   ???- You are Becoming What You are destined to become, A Demon
  Syren- NO, its not true, I would rather die then become one.
    ???- Ah, you can’t change destiny.
   Syren- I can and I will. I will not become what I hate.
     ??- Well, I bid you farewell.
     
      Syren felt a cold wind pass him, then he fell unconscious.

         When Syren awoke there was a strange person standing over him. His vision was blurry so he couldn’t make out who it was.

 Syren- Wh…Who are you.
 Kryan- I am Kryan, A Half breed like you.
 Syren- How did you know I’m a Half breed.
 Kryan- umm, you wings say you’re a demon but you have a saiyan body, its not that hard.
 Syren- My vision is all blurry.
 Kryan- That should pass , you hit your head on a rock.
 Syren- Well that sucks.
 Kryan-  Here let me help you up
 
Syren put up his hand Kryan took it and lifted Syren to his feet.

 Kryan- What are you doing all the way out here.
 Syren- I was called here by a friend and I just haven’t left yet , and you ?
 Kryan- I never left when I escaped the demon tyranny I never left the here.
 Syren- Why Not?
 Kryan- I’d have nowhere to go.
 Syren- I don’t have anywhere to go, never have, everywhere I got people look at me as a monster.
 Kryan- Would you believe you’re the first half blood I’ve seen since I escaped my demon masters control.
 Syren- You’re the first I’ve Ran into also.
 Kryan- yet from the other people I have met out here, I have learned to much.
 Syren- Really, I have learned very little in my travels.
 Kryan-  That is interesting, I have learned so much,  so many powerful people come here.
 Syren- Would you be able to help me learn?
 Kryan- Sure.
 Syren- Hey, my vision has returned!
 Kryan- That’s Great!

Syren looked at Kryan for the first time. She was a fairly attractive Brunette, she had two small horns on her head and a thin monkey tail.

Kryan- Before we start training you need to recover your energy.
Syren- *Yawn*.. aye I should sleep
Kryan- Come to my cave.
Syren- Ok..

After a twenty minute walk they arrived at the small hill, there was no entrance that Syren could see.

Syren- How do you enter in this house?
Kryan-*giggles* like this.

Kryan lifted what looked like solid ground to reveal a small cave lit by a lantern.

Syren- That’s cool.
Kryan- its no cool, its smart, to live out here you need to hid yourself when your most  vulnerable. You can sleep there
 
Kryan pointed to a hammock in the corner.

Syren- Ok, And Thank you.
Kryan- Your welcome, and sleep well.

Kryan shut and locked to door behind them. Syren laid down and within minutes he was asleep.

 After a Long Nights sleep Syren Wakes up in the morning to the smell or cooking meat.

Syren- *yawn* Do I really want to know where that meat came from?
Kryan- Nope *giggle*.
Syren- Then I’m not going to ask.
Kryan- sounds like you had a good rest.
Syren- How long have I been out?
Kryan- Half a Day.
Syren- HALF A DAY!
Kryan- Yes, you took a nasty bump to the head.
Syren- Really? That explains why my head hurts.
Kryan- After we eat we should get to training. If I’m going to teach you, we best start soon as we can..

After they had finished eating they went into a open field about half a mile from the camp.

 Kryan- Now, I’m going to teach you a move that will help you thwart an enemy’s attack. Charge at me.

Syren ran at Kryan, when he was within a couple of feet Kryan she smashed the ground sending a wall of energy towards Syren. When It Made contact it dissipated by sent Syren flying backwards.

Syren- Wow, That’s a good defensive move.
Kryan- It’s just as much defensive as offensive.
Syren- I could imagine that being used in battle.
Kryan- Ok to do this what you have to do, if first form a ball of Ki around you fist.
Syren- Ok…

Syren tried to form a ball of Ki around his fist, but failed at the attempt. He tried again this time a small field of Ki was formed, but them it dissipated.

Kryan- that’s was better than I expected, it took me hours to for any Ki field.

After some guidance from Kryan he managed to form the Ki around his hand.

Kryan- Remember This, for it will be the basis of some of the other training sessions. This next part isn’t as easy. You have to smash the ground in the direction of the enemy, and you have to focus on sending the wall towards the enemy, or else it will fail.

After a couple of hours of practice, Syren was ready to put it to the test.

Kryan- Now pretend I’m an enemy charging at you
 Syren- Ok.

Kryan began a charge, but when Syren charged his fist, it’s overpowered. When he smashed the ground an explosion engulfed the field. This drained Syren and he fell unconscious.

 When he awoke he was in the cave. The in the dim glow of the lantern he could see Kryan sitting on her bed.

Syren- What happened?
Kryan- YOUR AWAKE!
Syren-Yes, what happened.
Kryan I’ve been pondering that for days now…
Syren- DAYS!
Kryan- its been three days since that happened.
Syren- were you ok, did u hurt you
Kryan- A little, I landed in a big tree.
Syren- What happened?
Kryan- You are much more powerful than you know. That explosion left a deep crater there.
Syren- Can we continue our training tomorrow??
Kryan-Yes, But first I will teach you to control your Ki.

Over the next couple of days Kryan taught Syren to control his Ki power. It took days to perfect the move, but never did he overpower his fist. Still the thought of that day has not left his mind.

Weeks had passed since meeting Kryan; he had learned that she had met many demons since the rebellion. She never ventured far from her home for she is afraid of never being able to find it again. She avoided contact with as many intelligent  beings as possible, for she was afraid that the demons would return to take her away.

Kryan- You have learned much over these past days, yet you have been holding back, not wanting to learn new techniques, why.
Syren- to protect you.
Kryan- Protect me, but how is not learning new techniques going to protect me.
Syren- What happened a few weeks back, I...I cant think of what would have happened if you were hurt, the power I feel wanting to be released the anger fueling it.
Kryan- Anger, Why would you be angry?
Syren- this place, my past, they haunt me… they cause me anger, sadness, misery, pain.
Kryan- I learned to put my past behind me by training, learning, I’ve even studied meditation.
Syren- Meditation?
Kryan- Yes it takes me to a place of peace and sanctuary where I can forget the world and think clearly.
Syren- That is something I could never achieve, I have never had a place where I found peace.
Kryan- Let me teach you, you’ll see.
Syren- ….Ok.

 Kryan showed Syren how to sit and relax, she told him how to clear his mind and forget all around him, how to block out all sound and to stop all the thoughts from invading his mind. It was finally starting to work, he felt like there was harmony in his world a feeling he had never encountered, but something was wrong, he felt a presence, a dark presence near to him. He didn’t understand this feeling, and then suddenly he was seeing himself sitting on the ground, Kryan next to him. As he turned he heard a sound outside, a screaming. Kryan opened her eyes and looked at Syren, she tried to awaken him, and He felt as though he was dissipating, then she gave up, he felt also he was returning to his ghostly form. Kryan went to the door and opened it. Syren in his ghostly form moved to the door and as Kryan exited the door shut behind her shut, it phased right thru Syren.

He followed Kryan as she went to check out the screaming, she came to the crater, in the center there was a Demon sitting in the center, kneeling over the body of a young women.

Kryan- You Fiend.
Demon- YOU! *he raised a crooked finger at Kryan*
Kryan- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE DEMON!
Demon- I have cleansed this world of another of is parasites.
Kryan- I Shall have Your Head!
Demon- Really Now.

Suddenly Kryan was lifted into the air and Pulled towards the Demons’ open hand.

Demon- And What are you going to do.
Kryan- THIS!

Kryan transformed into a Dark figure, suddenly sending a large ball of dark matter at the Demon.

Demon- Your feeble attempts to defeat me only humor me.

The demon easily deflected the ball of dark matter. Then he ran at Kryan with unimaginable speed, grabbing her by the neck. Just then Syren wakes out of the awkward dream to find he is sitting on the floor next to Kryan. Then there is the scream the exact same scream as in the dream.

Kryan- What was that.
Syren- I think…. I think it was a demon killing a young woman.
Kryan- How would you know that?
.Syren- when I was meditating I saw this all happen, only I was in a catatonic state during it.
Kryan- Oh my, this is what I feared.
Syren- What?
Kryan- Its Var-Sesh, an old foe of mine, he is the only demon that would come out this far.. I thought he would never return.
Syren- In my vision you didn’t know the demon.
Kryan- Really, that does not matter now, we must act, if it is a demon he knows were here, there is no other reason for him to come this way.
Syren- I will stay back , you take lead, if everything goes like a saw, I can help.
Kryan- Ok, But stay back.

They ventured to the crater, within seconds Syren realized that everything was happening as he foresaw it. Everything played out like he saw it. At the point where he snapped back to reality he decided to strike. He shot a Ki bean to get the demon to listen to him.

Syren- Put her down Demon, If you want to kill someone FIGHT ME , a fight worth the kill.
Demon- Ok,*drops Kryan she runs over to Syren*
Kryan-*whispering to Syren* What are you doing he’ll kill you.
Syren- *whispering to Kryan* I can do this trust me, now run get out of here and hide. The past weeks of training prepared me for this.

Kryan kissed Syren on the cheek then ran from the crater, looking back just as she left, she continued running.

Demon- Such compassion only causes stupidity. NOW YOU DIE.
Syren-*a small smile coming over his face* No, Now You Die.

A Ki ball started to form around Syrens Fist.

Demon- Do You Honestly Think you can beat me with your Puny Blast.
Syren- No, but I will defeat you.
Demon- How*starts to laugh* you small insignificant spec of dirt.
Syren- Come and get it you Over Grown Bat!

The demon charged at Syren.

Syren- Bye!*small smile forming on Syren’s face*

A questioning look comes over the demons face.

Syren- HEEEEYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Syrens Smashed the Demon on the face. The overcharges Ki on his hand caused the reaction he mistakenly made last time. A huge explosion engulfed the area around him.
Incinerating the demon and making the hole even bigger. Staggering back Syren catches himself before he hits the ground.

Syren- And that’s what you get Batboy. **wow I can’t believe that worked**

Just then Kryan appeared at the top of the new crater.

Kryan- Wh…What happened here.
Syren- The demon is gone.
Kryan- But…But he should have easily overpowered you.
Syren- Well I guess I’m a little more powerful than you think.
Kryan- You should come to the house, you look awful.
Syren- I’m fine. I’m just tired from the explosion.
Kryan- Here *Kryan transfers some of her energy to Syren*
Syren- Thank You.
Kryan- Also, I think you’re ready for this. *Kryan puts he hand on Syrens Head; Syren could feel energy and knowledge transferring to him* I have given you the power of a trainer to student link, now me and you can talk to each other for any distance, at anytime. With time this power can be trained to talk to other people.
Syren- Thank you.
Kryan-*through mental link* you’re welcome, now we should return to the cave to rest, I am tired from the training, and you should think about what I’ve taught you.

They returned to the cave without a word (mentally or otherwise)

After a night of rest Syren finally asked.

Syren- Who was that
Kryan- Sesh-lua, Var-Sesh’s Demi-lord.
Syren- Demi-lord, Then why was he so easily beat.
Kryan- Because the power you unleashed on him was of strength I have never seen. You shouldn’t have put yourself at risk like that, it was stupid and foolish. What if you power hadn’t worked, what then.
Syren- But it did work, and we are alive because of it.
Kryan- True.
Syren- I did I because I had no other choice , I would not let you die at the hand of the monster, I shall never stand by and let anyone die by demons hands if I can help it.
Kryan- That is honorable, yet foolish.
Syren- I have to ask , why would they come here, to find you.
Kryan- They didn’t come for me….. they came for you.
Syren- WHAT! Me why would they want me!
Kryan- because Var-Sesh wishes to teach you something that only he can, but if you learn from him , he will try to force you into his servitude.*Syren could sense the anger in her words*
Syren- Is that what happened to you.

Kryan touched his mind and then began to speak, as she did her images, more like memories were transferred to him.

Kryan- It was many years ago , soon after I had rebelled , I met a demon named
Var-Sesh he offered to train my , teach me things no one else could. How to turn into a form that would make me more powerful. He had other plans in mind , he taught me moves, trained me made me stronger, then when it became time , he taught me to transform, but alas after I became more powerful than his strongest servant , he tried to force me to be his Demi-lord, I refused and he tried to kill me, I barely escaped with my life. The truth is , as we get stronger , our demon side will prevail , it will consume us , control us, change us into what we hate. That’s why I stay away from people, to that I don’t hurt anyone, though if we surround yourselves is solitude we lost our connection to the world. This is why I agreed to train you, because through you I can have a link out of my solitude , and have contact with another person who has to go through what I did, I can guide you , so that your rise in power will not be a burden to heavy to carry because I will help you , I will make sure you have a guide through this rough time.
Syren- So I am some sort of tool to you.
Kryan- no you’re a friend, a student, someone I can trust, someone I can rely on to be there when I need help , you proved that yesterday.
Syren- Do you trust me?
Kryan- Yes, do you me?
Syren- Yes.

After talking for hours, getting to know each other.

Syren-Do you think Var-Sesh will come for me again?
Kryan- Maybe we can’t be sure. Next time he sends someone, we will be ready.
